Our History
Globe rowing club was founded in 1923. It has been previously been known as Stones Rowing Club based in Deptford and later known as Clyde Rowing Club, named after public house. For a look into our interesting history please see our History pages.
Our Partners

Globe Rowing Club welcomes support from any individual or organisation interested in promoting the sport of rowing for the benefit of our local community.  If you wish to contribute through donation, volunteering or in some other way then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Our key partner at the Trafalgar Rowing Centre (TRC) is Trafalgar 2001 Trust Limited, a registered charity that is the Lessee and operator of the TRC properties; this organisation’s web site can be found at:

We are grateful to Sporting Club Greenwich (Greenwich Council) and the other organisations whose emblems appear below for their financial and other practical support.

We are working closely with schools through the Greenwich School Sport Partnership supporting curriculum learning and after school activities.
We are also seeking individual school partnerships and welcome closer links with any organisations that encourage young people into the sport of rowing.
