ATLANTIC CROSSING
Update from Jimmy and Adam below. Time is getting ever closer to their big challenge of rowing across the Atlantic.
July – Evenings and weekends were spent getting the boat ready for the water and her launch ceremony. We’ve experimented with a video format update this time and hope you find it interesting. A session informing all members of navigation rules, safety issues and hazards on the river. Attendence is strongly recommended for all rowers and coxswains.
NEW RULES OF RACING MARCH 2009
The new Rules of Racing take effect from the 1st of April 2009. For more info on the changes to the rules please see 2009 Rule ChangesThe Online Entry system now applies these rules and event categories to any competition on or after the 1st of AprilOn the 1st of April all competitors will automatically have an extra point added to their totals in line with the rule changesBefore this date, the Online Entry system will show current points when selecting crew members, but on validating submitted crews or subsitutions it will take into account what the competitor's points will be on the day of competition.
FEBRUARY 2009 CLUB KIT ORDER
Kit can now be ordered on-line from Godfrey Sports. Club Kit can now be ordered on-line from Godfrey Sports. To view our Club Page please follow the link below;
We have organised an ordering window until March 6th 2009, all orders placed before this date will then be collated by Godfrey Sports and the best price for multiple items will be given. Kit will then be delivered around April 8th 2009 and divided into individual orders placed. If for any reason you need kit immediately, you do have the option of opting out of the order window and getting your kit as soon as possible (about 4/5 weeks from order).
A combination of training and racing kit can be found on our Club Page, please be aware of what kit we race in.
The following garments are suitable for competition;
1. All in one, white top with dark blue diagonal strip and bottom.
2. Dark blue tee (long or short) with white stripe.
3. White tee (long or short) with dark blue stripe.
4. Dark blue shorts or leggings with white stripe.
If you are unsure about this, please check with David, Helen or Mike.
